Well, that’s a loaded question. The best apps, in my view, are the ones that provide the most value to the user. So when Chicago Magazine asked me to explore the topic of Best iPhone Apps for Chicago for its January issue, I considered the apps I use each day plus the ones I thought people would find entertaining and useful.
For me, the best app is Buster, hands down. Developed by Chicago’s Electropuf, it helps me navigate Chicago’s wildly inconsistent CTA bus system with far more consistency. Indeed, thanks to the CTA’s recent service cuts, this app has become even more valuable.
